Why The Other 7 Arms?

Updated: 21 hours ago

Because there is so much more to yoga than the physical practice, it sure is where most of us in the West start our paths, but eventually, if we are lucky, we begin to discover new roads (I'm calling them arms) that lead us to a much deeper journey. I was very focused on asanas for a long time, almost addicted to them, until I was forced by an injury to slow everything down. I became lost without my regular routine, but today I'm grateful for that incident that kept me off the mat for a while; it was the doorway to feeling more balanced and connected to my practice.

There's no destination to get to in yoga; the secret is finding our ability to accept what's happening now, sit in discomfort, and work with what we have in front of us every single day! Then repeat again and again, even more when it's boring or things get darker out there. The tides in our lives change every day, and so do we. The practice of learning to go along with whatever comes allows us to live lighter and more joyfully.

In my journey as your guide, I hope to honor my teacher's teachings and maybe inspire you to go deeper too. Welcome!
